How to enable or disable call forwards.

We will see how to enable or disable call forwards using either the phone to dial it in or the web portal.

 

How to enable call forwarding.

If you are calling from the extension that you are forwarding look  at the following examples.

NOTE: Forwarding call using this method will send the call but if the person doesn't answer the voice mail will be sent to your extension.

*72100 would forward all my calls to extension 100 NOTE: This will forward to the physical phone of extension 100

*65100 would forward all my calls to extension 100 NOTE: This will forward to the Reach UC (mobile application) and to all windows/Mac desktop clients only. YOU WILL NOT GET ANY CONFIRMATION ONCE ENTERED.

*64100 would forward all my calls to extension 100 NOTE: This will forward to the Microsoft Team client only. YOU WILL NOT GET ANY CONFIRMATION ONCE ENTERED.

*7215142345555 would forward all my calls to 514-234-5555

If you are using the web portal found here: https://portal.tayotelecom.com/.





  1. Log in using your Login name (the one provided in the welcome email).
  2. Enter the password that you have set during the welcome email process.
  3. Now go to the Answering Rules section.
  4. You will need to edit your rule most of you will only have 1 (Default) to do so click on the little pen on the right side.
  5. Now check the Always and enter the extension you desire your call to be forwarded to. Make sure you select USER this way this will make all that users devices ring. If you select a phone only that phone will ring. 


  6. Make sure you press save at the bottom of that page.

How to disable call forwarding.

If you are calling from the extension that you are forwarding you can just do *73 and this will disable call forward.


If you are using the web portal found here: https://portal.tayotelecom.com/.




  1. Log in using your Login name (the one provided in the welcome email).
  2. Enter the password that you have set during the welcome email process.
  3. Now go to the Answering Rules section.
  4. You will need to edit your rule most of you will only have 1 (Default) to do so click on the little pen on the right side.
  5. Now uncheck the Always and go down to the simultaneous ring section and make sure all 3 highlighted checkbox are check. This will make it all your registered phone will ring.


  6. Make sure you press save at the bottom of that page.
